Senior Manager – Supply Chain Management

Job Summary:
The Senior Manager – Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain function, including strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship management. This role supports complex engineering projects and ensures the timely and cost-effective availability of materials and services in alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and subcontractors.
- Negotiate long-term contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize value.
Supply Chain Operations:
- Oversee procurement planning based on project requirements and engineering BOMs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to project sites and engineering teams.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to forecast demand accurately.
Logistics & Inventory:
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics (domestic and international).
- Oversee warehousing and inventory control systems.
- Optimize transportation and reduce lead times and costs.
Supplier Management:
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, quality, cost, compliance).
- Develop strong supplier relationships to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure continuous improvement.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and diversified sourcing.
- Enforce internal procurement and ethical standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Master’s/MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in supply chain roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in engineering services, EPC, or industrial projects is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and supply chain analytics tools.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
